May 25 Annual Meeting
We're celebrating the U.S. League's 90th Birthday on Tues., May 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Shoney's near the I-65 interchange so join the fun. We'll be in the private dining room. For those of you who are relatively new to the League, the League was founded by Carrie Chapman Catt in 1920 during the convention of the National American Woman Suffrage Association. This convention was just six months before the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, giving women the right to vote after a 72-year struggle. We'll talk about our local history and what the LWVUS is doing to celebrate. Please don't miss this important meeting. It's when we generate ideas for next year, elect the new board, and approve the budget for the next fiscal year.

To be continued...
